"The Choral" tells the story of a Yorkshire choral society in 1916 whose male members have volunteered for World War I. The group, led by a new chorus master, Dr. Guthrie (Ralph Fiennes), recruits teenage boys and girls to continue making music together. The story focuses on the community finding joy and a way to cope with the war's uncertainties through song, while the young men face their imminent conscription.
